In the second step, the conformity of the organization&#8217;s accreditation programs (EU ETS, SKDM, 14064-1, 14064-2) and scopes (iron steel, cement, textile, food&#8230;..) should be checked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Turkey, accreditation of verification organizations is given by T\u00dcRKAK according to ISO 17029, ISO 14065 and ISO 14064-3 standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is possible to access the list of verification organizations via the T\u00dcRKAK website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many carbon footprint and water footprint declarations verified by QSI are accepted by international institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Verification Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">before starting carbon and water footprint calculation studies, which are a part of sustainability studies. Because, calculation standards and methods are determined in line with this purpose and the entire process continues in line with this determined program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, SKDM, a greenhouse gas calculation made within the scope of EU ETS and a greenhouse gas calculation made within the scope of ISO 14064-1 are completely different from each other. While the ISO 14064-1 standard requires reporting of all 7 basic greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O, CFC, PFC, SF6, NF3) included in the Kyoto Protocol, SKDM and EU ETS are only interested in CO2 emissions, except for some sectors.
