ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

Environmental problems and pollution, which have become one of the problems threatening humanity since the second half of the 20th century, have gotten more perceptible together with industrialization. Environmental problems that were previously perceived only as pollution and had local characteristics without acquiring an international dimension have rapidly  increased day by day and have been local problems no longer, but become the problem of the whole world. Environmental standards as well as national and international legal legislations for the environment have been put into practice in order to reduce the damage on the environment caused by the humanity at this point.

What Is ISO 14001?

ISO 14001 is an international standard that specifies the conditions required for establishments that desire to establish and implement the Environmental Management System.

The Standards define the EMS processes that must be followed by an establishment at minimum level. The ISO 14001 standard is not a product standard, but is a standard for the establishment’s environmental system.
